Embracing sexuality, diversity and health needs

About Us

Inscape began as a direct result of needs assessment by the Health Promotion Service with local gay men and other men who have sex with men.

The service has developed over the past decade into a community health service for people of all sexualties and genders whether they be heterosexual, homosexual, lesbian or bisexual.

Who we work with

Inscape works with members of the community who have diverse backgrounds, views and experiences. We also liaise with support agencies such as:

  • Social services
  • Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport Councils
  • Hampshire Constabulary
  • Hampshire Education

Service information

The service has:

  • Manager
  • Outreach coordinator
  • Outreach workers and volunteer staff
  • Female outreach support worker
  • Counsellor
  • Service secretary

We also work with:

  • Clinical nurse specialist for sexual health and HIV/Women’s mental health lead
  • Cranstown Drugs Agency LGBT substance misuse coordinator

Service hours

Office hours are 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Outreach sessions are arranged outside office hours.

Accommodation

Inscape has two rooms which are available free of charge for Trust employees. Refreshments are not supplied. A pay and display car park is available.
