Masturbation

Forget whatever you’ve heard about masturbation. Masturbation is one of those topics you very rarely ever hear the facts about, but no one wants to talk about it. As any topic having to do with sex or the genitals, masturbation is not a topic for polite conversation. But when you’re young and healthy, you’re bound to have questions about your body. Hopefully, this will give you all the facts about masturbation you really need to know.

Masturbation is when you manipulate touch your genitals to get an orgasm. It usually feels really good. It also feels really intense. Your genitals often put out as much moisture as if you’ve urinated, but you haven’t done anything wrong. It’s natural. Animals masturbate. Ever wonder why Fido keeps licking the same spot over and over again? Now you know.

Masturbation is something you do in private. It’s a good time to find out about your body. Many people think the orgasms from masturbation are better than in actual sex. It’s good to know how to please yourself, so you can teach a lover later on. If you don’t want a lover (which is all right), you can release tensions and have a good time. Some people find when they can’t sleep, masturbation helps them to get drowsy.

There are many myths about masturbation. Many people still are told that “touching yourself” or “playing with yourself” will led to blindness, madness or hairy palms. You won’t. You can’t get pregnant by masturbating. Some religions state that masturbation is a sin, so doing it leads to guilt. Having orgasms outside of marriage does not hurt your body in any way.

mixed-11So why do many people think that masturbation is bad, or sinful? Perhaps because an orgasm is such a powerful, all-encompassing sensation. You feel out of control and strange, unusual and shocking thoughts can occur. This probably led to some religions thinking that any kind of orgasm that didn’t have to do with making babies was bad. Perhaps thinking their children are interested in sex is a sign that they are growing up, which can make some parents very sad, because they want their children to stay young forever. Masturbation is only bad when that is what you want to do all the time. It’s like eating only chocolate. Your body just can’t eat only one kind of food in order to stay healthy. Our sexuality, including masturbation, is a part of our complicated lives.

Everybody has their own way of masturbating. We are all unique individuals, with individual likes and dislikes. Some like to fantasies while masturbating, some like to look at sexy images, and some just turn their minds off and go with the flow. Some rub, some use sex toys like vibrators, and some prefer their hands. And some people are just not interested in orgasms. That’s okay. Don’t make fun of anyone if they say they never masturbate. They could be telling the truth. Would you like it if they made fun of you for liking chocolate, or needing to wear glasses, or something trivial like that? The biggest fact about masturbation is that it only plays a small part in our lives, and so is nothing to worry about.
