eip-dvEarly Intervention Project

The Early Intervention Project (EIP) is a Portsmouth-based support and advocacy service for females or males over 16 years of age experiencing domestic abuse

What does EIP offer?

The Early Intervention project offers clients non-judgemental support and advice about the options available to them. The project aims to empower those experiencing abuse to make informed choices.
As a client-led service, the support provided will be dependant on what the individual client feels they need.

How to access EIP:

EIP are able to take referrals from any health services within Portsmouth’s Primary Care Trust. If you are a client who would like to be referred, please approach your GP, your midwife/health visitor (if you have one), the medical staff at A&E or staff within any other department of Portsmouth hospitals.
EIP can also take referrals from the following agencies:
- Police: through the domestic abuse units at Fratton police station and Havant police station.
- Housing: via any Portsmouth City Council housing office or through the housing options department in the Civic offices
